Ian Taylor joined the company in January 2001 to set up and run Taylor Commercial Repairs Ltd which at the beginning was an agent in the  South East for the  supply of parts and repair (including factory warranty repairs) of Maclift and Telehoist recycling vehicles. This was set up alongside our existing company I. T. Services which was responsible for all our other customers.

Taylor Commercials took over from I.T. Services completely in 2003 to bring all our operations under one name. As the company has grown, Ian took on the role of Business Development and later, Operations Manager as the needs and growth of the business changed. The I.T. systems we use to keep control of our HGV compliance and invoicing were all built by Ian using MS Access database software. Ownership of the business passed over to him in 2025.

I’m afraid this picture is 20 years out of date, but certainly a better one of him than can currently be taken!

Outside of work, Ian is a keen squash and tennis player and enjoys spending time with his wife, daughters, family and friends. He completed the UK Ironman (a triathlon involving a 2.4mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26 mile marathon run consecutively) in 2007 in a time of 15hrs, 8mins and 40 seconds!
