HGV Vehicle Test Weights

Since the introduction of HGV testing at ATFs, (Authorised Testing Facilities) vehicles more often than not need to be loaded with weight to enable the DVSA tester to complete a proper brake test. Not loading a vehicle with weight can result in an MOT failure even when there is nothing wrong with the brakes themselves.

LOLER testing too, can require the need for a test weight.

Taylor Commercial Repairs limited can hire out test weights for this purpose.

We have 7, 1.4 tonne concrete blocks, manufactured with forklift holes for loading and unloading of the weights. Or 2 x 1000 water filled IBCs weighing approximately 1 tonne each.

5000kg ratchet securing straps are also available for hire for the purpose of securing the load.

Please contact us for hire rates based on how many blocks you wish to hire and how many days you wish to hire them for.
